Eyelands is Riccardo's travelling project dedicated to the islands and their communities. 

During each trip, Riccardo explores a special cultural feature of an island with a series of interviews and a movement workshop for local people. The aim of the workshop is to make and present a performance/installation at the end of the residency. Each travel is documented with photo and video material which will become a documentary and an exhibition in a future phase of the project.

 

The first residency of the project took place in La Gomera, Canary Islands in July 2018 with the support of Centro Coreográfico de La Gomera and Paso in 2-Certamen

Coreográfico de Madrid.

The second chapter of Eyelands was held in Malta in September 2018 in the context of the University of Malta.

The third chapter was held in Cyprus in May 2019 and supported by DanceHouse Lefkosia.
